Refund Policy

1. Non-Refundable Bookings

All confirmed and paid bookings on myCounsellor.lk are non-refundable. Once a session is booked and payment has been processed, the booking fee cannot be refunded under any circumstances, except as set out in Section 4 below.

By completing your booking and payment, you acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy.

2. No Cancellations

Bookings cannot be cancelled by the client after payment is processed. We encourage you to review your selected date, time, and counsellor carefully before confirming your booking.

3. Rescheduling

We understand that unexpected circumstances arise. Rescheduling requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of your counsellor.

  • Contact us as early as possible — ideally at least 24 hours before your session.
  • Rescheduling is subject to the counsellor's availability and is not guaranteed.
  • Approved rescheduling does not incur any additional charge.

To request a reschedule, contact us via our contact page or reply to your booking confirmation email.

4. Counsellor-Initiated Cancellations

In the rare event that a counsellor cancels a confirmed session, you will be notified promptly by email and offered either:

  • A reschedule to another available time slot, or
  • A full refund to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

5. No-Shows

Failure to attend a scheduled session without prior notice will be recorded as a no-show. No-shows are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling, and the session fee is forfeited in full.

6. Technical Issues

If you experience a technical failure on our platform that prevents your session from taking place, please contact us within 24 hours at hello@mycounsellor.lk with a description of the issue. We will review each case individually and may offer a reschedule or credit at our discretion.
